FAQ
TOP RATED LOCAL® BAIL BONDS
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, debit, credit, Cash App, Venmo, or PayPal
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A DEFENDANT?
You must report to us immediately after you’re released to complete paperwork. We need any changes to your address, phone number, and employer, along with court dates and results. You’ll want to find an attorney you’re comfortable with, and you must show up to all court dates and obey the instructions of the Court. We can provide you with information about community resources as well.
WHAT ARE MY RESPONSIBILITIES AS A CO-SIGNER?
You must make sure the defendant makes all their court appearances, help us locate them if needed, and take on other responsibilities, depending on the nature of the case.
HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE FOR SOMEONE TO POST BOND?
It depends on the county and jail where the individual was arrested. In many facilities, the process only takes a few hours. Oklahoma County Jail can take up to 24 hours to release someone once their bond has been posted.
WHAT DOCUMENTS ARE NEEDED TO GET SOMEONE OUT OF JAIL?
If you’re a co-signer, you’ll need to be 18 or over, and provide:
- A driver’s license or photo ID
- Your social security number
- Proof of employment and a copy of your latest check stub
- A completed co-signer application
- A signed indemnity agreement
WHAT IF I CAN’T AFFORD TO PAY 10 PERCENT OF THE BOND?
No problem! We offer numerous payment plans that are designed to be reasonable and affordable.
DO I HAVE TO PUT UP COLLATERAL FOR THE BAIL BOND?
Most of the time, collateral isn’t necessary. It’s usually a factor in cases where there is no co-signer available for the bond, or if the bond is large. If collateral is put up to secure a bond, it will be returned if the defendant successfully concludes their case.
ARE YOU ALLOWED TO TELL ME WHAT MY SPOUSE/FAMILY MEMBER/FRIEND WAS CHARGED WITH?
Yes. We need the name of the person you’re inquiring about, their date of birth, and the county where they were arrested. That information allows us to look them up in the county jail system and get specific answers.
HOW MUCH IS IT TO BOND SOMEONE OUT?
Bond amounts are determined during an arraignment, at which point the defendant stands before a judge. Misdemeanor crimes have lower bond amounts, while felony crimes have higher amounts. It also depends on community involvement, work history, and if the court thinks there is a risk of the defendant either fleeing or harming someone.
Once the bail bond amount has been set, the bondsman generally charges a fee of 10 percent of the bond amount.
